rerelease ‘Bangkok beat’ out 10th april

‘Bangkok Beat’ is set for rerelease on all major streaming and download platforms on 10th April 2023. Fans can stream or download it via Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music alongside other major platforms.

Originally the track was released on 17th May 2020 on DJ Paula Frost’s label Seizure Records. Paula said: “I wrote the song Bangkok Beat after my world tour, inspired by the fast paced lifestyle and carefree attitude of Thai people living in the city of Bangkok. Its a unique and crazy place, full of culture and creative energy. This song captures that.” Paula has already played a lot of shows in Asia including three dates in Japan and ten more across north and south Vietnam and Cambodia. Whilst in Vietnam, she headlined the Saturday night of Reggae Beach Festival in Da Nang.

'Bangkok Beat' was DJ Paula Frost’s second single release after ‘Oxygen Tank’. It features cowriting and production by her longtime friend and collaborator Joel Stoner. At the time these songs made up half of the debut EP ‘Orbit’ alongside the tracks “Orbit”, and “Jungle War”.

Kent based DJ Paula Frost is inspired by drum n bass, electronic, punk and reggae. Think The Prodigy, DJ Shadow, Steve Aoki, and Chris Lorenzo. She writes electro dance tunes with a dnb twist but doesn’t shy away from incorporating funky house, acid, vocal sampling and even orchestral arrangements.

DJ Paula Frost plans to rerelease one track each month until June, leading up to new music and a new album. Paula said: “I’ve been working on my debut album and it’s on its way. I look forward to putting out my best material yet, later in 2023.”

As a DJ, drummer and music journalist Paula loves music in every form and is always discovering new sounds. She started out drumming in bands at the age of thirteen but her career really kicked off as a DJ in her early twenties. “I started my journey as a producer on Kane FM for The Boom N Bass Crew and then Tippa Irie’s ‘Pure Riddim Show’, before gaining my drive time show ‘Way Out Radio’ and learning to DJ. Soon I was picked up by an agent and went professional, playing live gigs. One of my first shows was the band Slaves in Margate before they signed to Virgin Records and I have since played to crowds of up to 3000.”

Go to Spotify to follow DJ Paula Frost ahead of the release on 10th April 2023.
